George William Carr, Jr., 77, of Clanton died Tuesday, September 30, 2014. He was born on Sunday, February 14, 1937 in Jefferson Co., AL, Son of the late George Carr, Sr. and the late Lucy Wooley Carr. He was a retired Marine First Sergeant. Surviving are his Sons, George William "Bill" Carr III of Clanton, AL, Chris Carr of Clanton, AL; Grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Olivia & Grace Carr; Daughter-in-Law, Sara Carr, North Carolina; Brothers, Richard Carr, Frank Carr, Jeff Carr, Jim Carr; Sisters, Mary Marshall, Barbara Miller, Cheryl Carr Ellison. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Bonnie Carr and Son, Rob Carr. Friends will be received from 9-9:30, Saturday, October 4, 2014 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
