George H. Kornegay, 80, of Clanton died Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Bibb County Nursing Home, Centreville. He was born on Wednesday, November 24, 1937 in Bibb Co., AL, Son of the late Howard Kornegay and the late Maybelle McMillian Kornegay. He was a maintenance supervisor. Surviving are his Wife, Sally Ann Kornegay; Son, Barry (Paula) Kornegay; Granddaughter, Elizabeth (Brian) Meany; Grandson, Patrick (Erin) Kornegay; 5 Great-Grandchildren, Brinley, Evelyn, Nora, Harper, August; Brothers, James Kornegay, Stanley Kornegay. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Howard & Maybelle Kornegay. Friends will be received from 5-7, Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, September 7, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Barry Kornegay and Rev. Matt DeBord officiating. Interment will follow in Pineland Cemetery, Centreville, AL.
