Gerald Dixon, 82, of Clanton died Sunday, November 12, 2017 at his residence. He was born on Wednesday, April 10, 1935 in Georgia, Son of the late Zeb E. Dixon and the late Carrie Harkins Dixon. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and Westington House in South Carolina. Surviving are his Sons, Dwayne Robert Dixon of Colorado, Jerry Dale (Dana) Dixon of California, Step-daughter, Shannon (Steve) Messina of Alabama, 7 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren; sister, Shelby Franklin, Michigan;life-long best friend, Joe Ray Wilson. He is preceded in death by wife, Anna Dixon; companion Alice Faye Wilson. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 8, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Martin Funeral Home. Martin Funeral Home directing.
