On January 16, 2024, Geraldine “Geri” Logan Drinkwater of Clanton passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was born on January 18, 1939, in Clanton, Alabama. She was proceeded in death by first husband, William Perry “Buddy” Logan, Jr, her parents Thomas Jerrell Miller and Mozell Hilyer Miller and her brother Charles Miller. She is survived by her spouse; Carl “Jack” Drinkwater, daughter Debra Sosa (Ray), son Barry Logan (Ashley), stepdaughter Jacque Kerr, stepson James Drinkwater (Amy), Grandchildren; Jason Sosa (Amanda), Jonathan Sosa, Joshua Logan (Amy), Hannah Bishop (Tyler) and Sarah Burke (Alex), Courtney Killingsworth (Tye), Carlie Kempf. Great Grandchildren; Maria Sosa, J R Sosa, Jake Sosa, Aiden Bishop, Liam Kempf, Remi Killingsworth, Levi Kempf, Elizabeth “E J” Bishop, Cooper Killingsworth, Beckett Logan, Graham Bishop and Eleanor “Ella” Logan.
Geri graduated from Chilton County High School in 1957. She married her high school sweetheart, Buddy, in 1958 and was a faithful spouse until his death in 1972. She married Jack in 1991. She was a faithful and supported pastor’s wife for 44 years. She served as financial secretary at the First Baptist Church, Clanton for 17 years. She enjoyed her time serving with Campers on Mission, traveling, spending time with family (especially playing Mexican dominos), shopping, working in her flower gardens, cutting grass (don’t get on her John Deere) and cooking for her family.
Friends will be received Friday, January 19, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held Friday, January 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Rick Marshall officiating.
Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
