She was born December 5, 1935 in Clanton, Alabama, daughter of Ewell Johnson and Estelle Johnson. She was a banker with Peoples Southern Bank. Surviving are her Son, David Nelson, Son, Greg (Tina) Nelson, 8 Grandchildren, 23 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren, Sister, Doris Giles, and Son-in-Law, Robert T. Griffin. She was preceded in death by Her Father, Ewell Johnson, Mother, Estelle Johnson, Daughter, Carla Regina Nelson Griffin, Husband, David Carl Nelson, Special Friend, Herbert Shaw, Sister, Mable Jean Bates, Sister, Olene Davis. Friends will be received Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Highland Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 1, 2020, at 11:00 am. at Highland Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Hughes officiating.
