Gladys Virginia Young was born in Chilton County on May 15, 1938. Mrs. Gladys was passed away at her residence April 1, 2022. She was 83 years old.

She was a loving Mother, Nanny, and Sister.

She was a Homemaker for most of her life and worked at Mizzell's grocery store for years later in life.

Surviving are her Daughter, Sherry Young (Michael) O'Toole; Son, Jerry Giles; Son, Dusty (Brandy) Young; Step-Daughter, Harriette (Ronald) McGowan; Step-Daughter, Sandra Hunter; Granddaughter, Amber (Jamey) Adams; Grandson, Curtis Bozeman; Grandson, Ian Bozeman; Grandson, Blake O'Toole; Grandson, Ryan (Tish) O'Toole; Grandson, Conner O'Toole; Grandson, Roger (Tina) Phillips; Granddaughter, Kelly (Mark) McAuley; Grandson, Michael Hunter; Grandson, Tim Hunter; Grandson, Derrick (Dreama) Young; Grandson, James (Serena) Young; Granddaughter, Ashlynn Young; Granddaughter, Chelsea Young; Grandson, Bec Young; 8 Great Grandchildren; Many Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by Her Husband, Harry Young; Father, Thomas MisKelley; Mother, Nancy Lucille Davenport; Sister, Faye Hooker; Sister, Betty Charles; Sister, Vanessa Alstott; Brother, William Ray Alstott; Step-Son, Charles Young.

Friends will be received Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Shannon officiating.

Interment will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens, Jemison, Alabama.
