Glenda Lawley Cayton

Mrs. Glenda Lawley Cayton of Clanton, AL passed away on Dec. 13, 2009. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Harvey Cayton, father & mother, Jack & Maudelle Lawley. Brother, Ronald Lawley. She is survived by her daughter Tina Martinez, son-in-law whom she has been a mother to for many years David Martinez and 3 grandchildren Eddie, Ashli & Zakory. Other surviors include 3 sisters, Yvonne Bowman (Michael), Dorothy Taylor (Earle) and Becky Vines (Mike). 7 brothers, Kenneth Lawley, Ricky Lawley, Roger Lawley, Mack Lawley (Becky), Frankie Lawley (Candy), Teddy Lawley (Connie) and Larry Lawley. Sixty nieces & nephews. A special mention to sisters-in-laws Linda Cayton Daniels & Peggy Cayton of Aurora, N.C. and Rodney Herrin whom she loved as a son of New Bern, N.C. Mrs. Cayton was the eldest of her siblings. She has endured many hardships in her lifetime from childhood to present day. This defined her as a person and as a result made her a very strong & compassionate woman. She touched the lives of those close to her in a very special way. Those who knew her well will remember her for her ability to overcome the obstacles put before her in her life, her loving way & her willingness to help those that she loved. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt & friend. She will be missed greatly & remembered forever. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Martin Memorial Cemetery. Martin Funeral Home, directing.
