Gloria A. Parker, 76, of Thorsby died Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Brookwood Medical Center, Birmingham. She was born on Saturday, September 14, 1935 in England, Daughter of the late Frederick Piersall and the late Sara Jane Dawson Piersall. She was a Homemaker. Surviving is her husband, William H. Parker of Thorsby, AL; 2 Sons, William H. Parker, Jr. & David S. Parker; Daughter, Julie S. Elkhatib; 7 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, 2 Sisters, Nora Elizabeth Carterer & Dorothy Bogden; Brother, Stanley Dawson and several nieces & nephews. Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Monday, August 6, 2012 at Martin Funeral Home. Frmily request no flowers. Please make donations to your favorite charity in her memory. Martin Funeral Home directing.
