Shelton Maudling, 83, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, at his home surrounded by the love of his family.

He was born March 29, 1943, in Alabama, son of the late Grady Edgar Maudling and the late Louise Maudling.

Shelton was a hard working, loving man who never met a stranger. He had a kind heart and always chose to see the good in everyone. He rarely complained about anything-except politics and when Alabama was losing a football game. His steady spirit, quiet strength, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed.

Shelton found his greatest joy outdoors. He loved hunting with his dogs and could captivate anyone with the stories he told from years of adventures. More than anything, he loved his family. His grandbabies and great-grandbabies were the light of his life, and he treasured every moment he spent with them. Whether sharing a laugh, offering a helping hand, or simply enjoying time with those he loved. Shelton lived a life full of purpose, kindness, and faithfulness.

He is survived by his Daughters, Robin Maudling, Heather (Derek) Mason, Machelle (Jake) Burke; Grandchildren, Brittney (Chad) Beam, Skyler ( Jasmine) Smith, Sarah (Marshall) Scfott, Matthew Burke, Kaleb Burke, Rebekah Burke, Hunter ( Giorgia) Lambert, Samantha (John) Cleckley; Great- Grandkids, Jase, Mia, Grady, Coty, Noah, Adelynn, and Hudson; Sister, brenda Fulmer; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
