Gregory Randal Smith, 54, of Lawley, Alabama passed away November 5, 2024, at UAB Hosptial in Birmingham, AL

He was born December 9, 1969, in Alabama, son of the late Bobby Smith and Edith Jane Smith.

He was a Shipping Manager for South Coastal Paper in Maplesville, AL. Greg being an only child, considered his co-workers and friends as family. His life, not bound by blood to many, was filled with memories and deeply close relationships. He loved playing golf and watching the University of Alabama football games.

Surviving are his Mother, Edith Jane Smith; Second Mother, Sharon (Stewart Creel) Creel; Special Nephew, Trevor Wallace; Special Niece, Taylor Wallace; Special Brother, Tim Wright.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Bobby Smith.

Friends will be received Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Rehobeth Baptist Church Lawley, Alabama.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Rehobeth Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Patrick officiating.

Interment will follow in Rehobeth Baptist Cemetery, Lawley, Alabama.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Hayes; Michael Frith; Steve Greer; Matthew Thomas; Tony Wallace; and Trevor Wallace.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Russell Cox; Alvin George; Justin Hembree; Kasey Jones; Kent Jones; Trey Miles; Bill Pierce; Bobby Shuttlesworth; Mike Williams; and Tim Wright.
