Harvey Lee Sims, 88, of Clanton died Sunday, December 18, 2016 at St. Vincent's East, Birmingham. He was born on Sunday, March 18, 1928 in Dallas Co., AL, Son of the late James Anderson Sims and the late Jettie Mae Weaver Sims. He worked in Maintenance for Swift Manufacturing. Surviving are his Sons, James D. Sims of Jasper, AL, Harvey Lee Sims, Jr.; Daughters, Teresa Ballentine, Aletha Kitchens; Sister, Magdelene Thrasher. Friends will be received from 10:30-11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Matt DeBord officiating. Interment will follow in Alpine Baptist Cemetery, Stanton, Alabama. Martin Funeral Home directing.
