She was born on Monday, January 19, 1931 in Jefferson Co., Alabama, Daughter of the late Samuel Clay Thames and the late Mable Edwards Thames. She was a Homemaker. Surviving are her 6 Sons, Charles Brown, Jr. of Jemison, AL, Johnny (Mitzy) Brown of Ashville, AL, David (Suzette) Brown of Clanton, AL, Chris (Jennifer) Brown of Ashville, AL, Chuck "Charlie" Brown III of Sylacauga, AL, Donald (Sabrina) Blackwell of Oak Grove, AL; 2 Daughters, Angel (Ken) Bennington of Thorsby, AL, Barbara (Brad) Parker; 24 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Charlie Brown, Sr.; Daughter, Geraldine Brown Blackwell; Daughter, Robbie Brown Boley. Friends will be received from 6-8, Friday, November 21, 2008. Services will be held Saturday, November 22, 2008, at 11:00am. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J.P. Scott and Rev. Richard Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Rocky Mount Cemetery, Jemison, AL Martin Funeral Home directing.
