She was born on Thursday, April 29, 1920 in Jefferson Co., AL, Daughter of the late Edgar Askew and the late Ophelia Peoples Askew. She was a Homemaker. Surviving are Daughter, Lanelle Johnson of Baton Rouge, LA; Sons, Jerry L. Martin of Clanton, AL, Richard L. Martin of Jemison, AL; 7 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Great Great-Grandchildren; Brother, Tommy Askew of Macon, GA. She was preceded in death by her 1st Husband, Joy Lee Martin and 2nd Husband, Brasher Northcutt. Friends will be received from 3-3:30, Sunday, May 25, 2014 @ Providence Baptist #1. Services will be held Sunday, May 25, 2014, at 3:30 P.M. at Providence #1 Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Foster officiating. Interment will follow in Providence #1 Cemetery, Montevallo, Alabama.
