Hazel Myrtis Thomas, 87, of Clanton died Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster. She was born on Friday, February 15, 1929 in Chilton Co., AL, Daughter of the late Judson Messer and the late Camilla Gardner Messer. She was a Homemaker. A long time member of Clanton First United Methodist Church. Surviving are Sons, Bill (Michele) Thomas of Clanton, AL, Howard (Golda) Thomas of Clanton, AL; 6 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren; Brother, Hollis Messer of Orange Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by her Husband, William Howard Thomas and Brother, Kenneth Messer. Friends will be received from 10-11, Saturday, October 22, 2016 @ Clanton First United Methodist Church. Services will be held Saturday, October 22, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at Clanton First United Methodist Church with Rev. Barbara Brewi officiating.
