Heinz R. Benz, Sr., 76, of Birmingham died Wednesday, July 16, 2014. He was born on Friday, December 31, 1937 in Germany, Son of the late Adam Benz . He was a Salesman. Surviving are Wife, Mrs. Joan Benz of Birmingham, AL; Sons, Mr. Roland (Melissa) Benz of Warrior, AL, Mr. James (Leigh) Benz of Clanton, AL; Daughter, Ms. Melody Veazey of Birmingham, AL; 6 Grandchildren. Friends will be received from 5-7, Friday, July 18, 2014 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. at Forest Crest Cemetery, Birmingham, AL. with Rev. Jim Shannon officiating. Martin Funeral Home directing.
