Herman Jerry Godwin

Herman Jerry Godwin, 73, of Clanton, Alabama passed away February 28, 2024, at his residence.

He was born July 20, 1950, in Alabama, son of the late Ralph Godwin and the late Annie Godwin.

He was a retired Iron Worker of 40 years with Local 92.

Surviving are his Daughters, Ginger (Jeremy) Toy, Angie Coffield; Granddaughters, Alanna (Matt)  Hart, Chloe Coffield; Grandson, Teegan Flanary;  Great-Grandsons, Gadsden Hart, Calhoun Hart; Sister, Minnie Faye (Jerry D.) Dean; Nephews, Danny Dean, James Dean, and Darren (Holly) Dean.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Ralph Audice Godwin; Mother, Annie Belle Godwin; Brothers, Willie Joe Godwin, Ray Godwin; and son-in-law, Zachary Coffield.

Friends will be received Friday, March 1, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside Services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.. at Good Hope Baptist Church in Troy , AL with Rev. Wayne Locklar officiating.

Interment will follow in Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Troy, AL.
