Horace Ray Edwards

Horace Ray Edwards, 86, of Montevallo, AL, passed away February 8, 2020 at his residence. He was born April 2, 1933 in Wedowee, Alabama, son of William Edwards and Hattie Wright Edwards. He worked with the Alabama Highway Department (ALDOT) as a Civil Engineer and he was a County Engineer with three different counties. Surviving are his Wife, Eloise "Weezy" Edwards, Son, George W. (Kim) Edwards, Son, James R. (Felicia) Edwards, Grandson, Brady W. Edwards, Granddaughter, Brooklyn N. Edwards, Granddaughter, Ashley (Kevin) Calfee, Granddaughter, Kayla R. McGee, Great-Granddaughter, Madison McGee, Great-Granddaughter, Charleigh Calfee. Serving as Pallbearers will be Dennis Edwards, Harold Edwards, Gene Bourgeois, Daniel Edwards, Nick Russo, and David Phillips. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joey Edwards, Alan Edwards, and Andy Edwards. He was preceded in death by his Father, William M. Edwards, Mother, Hattie E. Wright, Brother, Earl Edwards, Brother, Billy Edwards, Brother, Elbert Edwards, Brother, Bobby Edwards, and Brother, Paul Edwards. Friends will be received Tuesday, February 11, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Enon Baptist Church, 4994 Co Rd 18, Montevallo, AL 35115. Services will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at 2:00 pm. at Enon Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Johnson and Rev. Bill Traywick officiating.
