Surviving are his Wife of 52 years, Elaine Connell Penton of Clanton, AL; Daughter, Cyndi (David) Boyd of Cantonment, FL; Sons, Howard Wayne (Becky) Penton, Jr. of Cantonment, FL, Jerry Penton of Clanton, AL; Grandchildren, Crystal (Aron) Caraballo, Maegan (Ransone) Rose, Jayce Boyd, Nikki (Nick) Jones, Jarred Penton, Howard Wayne (Trace) Penton, III, Jacob Penton, Jackson Penton; Great-Grandchildren, Ruby, Calliope, Azalea; Niece, Pam (Tony) Boykin; Sisters, June P.
