Howard Elmer Smith, 88, of Clanton, Alabama passed away November 6, 2023, at Russell Medical in Alexander City, AL.
He was born April 29, 1935, in Alabama, son of the late Raymond Smith and the late Madgeline Smith.
He was a Meter Reader for Alabama Gas.
Surviving are his Brother, Ray (Jann) Smith; Niece, Shannon (Hank) Walker; Great-Nephew, Price Walker; and Great-Niece, Karis Walker.
He was preceded in death by his loving Wife, Alma Faye Smith; Father, Raymond Smith; Mother, Madgeline Elsie Smith; and Brother, Richard D. Smith.
Graveside Services will be held , November 12, 2023, at 2:00 pm. at Mt. Pisgah Methodist Church Cemetery.
Family requests no flowers. Make donations to Chilton County Humane Society.
Martin Funeral Home directing.
