Hudson A Smith

Hudson A. Smith, 95, of Lawley died Friday, June 2, 2017. He was born on Wednesday, September 21, 1921 in Alabama, Son of the late Messer Smith and the late Zula Wright Smith. He was a fabricator with U.S. Steel. He was an Army Veteran in World War II and the Korean War. He also served as a deacon for 47 years and a mason for 60 years. Surviving are Daughters, Martha June (Fred) May, Annie Ruth (Carl) Smith; Grandchildren, Arnold (Cathy) Andrews, Bryan Andrews, Tim (Sandra) Andrews, Kathy (Chris) Cook, Mark (Shannon) Smith, Greg May; Great-Grandchildren, Ivey Andrews, Bryce Andrews, Shae (Colby) Morrison, Carleigh Andrews, Casey Cook, Caleb Cook, Asher Smith; Great-Great-Grandchild, Seth Morrison; Brother, Curtis (Margie) Smith; Sisters-in-law, Barbara Smith, Barbara Hicks. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Sara Berneice Smith, Son, Rolland "Bubba" Smith; Parents; Brothers and Sisters. Friends will be received from 1-2, Monday, June 5, 2017 @ Pleasant Grove Baptist #2. Services will be held Monday, June 5, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. at Pleasant Grove Bapt. #2 with Rev. Robert Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Cemetery, Maplesville, AL.
