Ivy Joseph "Jim" Doucet, 87, of Clanton, Alabama passed away April 11, 2022 at Bill Nichols State Veterans Home, Alexander City, Alabama.
He was born July 1, 1934 in Youngsville, Louisiana, son of the late Clodor Doucet and the late Edia Doucet.
He retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He was a supervisor at Keystone Metal Moulding for 15 years and Hayes Aircraft for 5 years. He was a deacon at West End Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Johnnie Sue Doucet; daughter, Debra (Jerry) Ward; sons, Terry (Charla) Doucet, Jerry Allen (Janice) Doucet; 9 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clodor Doucet; mother, Edia Doucet; daughter, Donna Sue Burnette; sister, Renis Breaux; brother, John Doucet.
Friends will be received Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at West End Baptist Church of Clanton.
Services will be held Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at West End Baptist Church with Rev. James Watkins and Rev. Eddie Lightsey officiating.
Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, Alabama with full military honors.
The family request no flowers. Please make donations to the West End Baptist Church Building Fund.
