Jack Henry Miller, 89, of Alabaster, AL passed away March 21, 2023.
Jack was born February 3, 1934, in Hamilton, AL, to Henry Hubert and Lula Williams Miller.
Jack was deployed during the Cuban Missile Crisis as a member of the Alabama Air National Guard and the US Air Force Reserve. In the sixties he raced stock-cars at the Birmingham International Raceway and other local venues. Jack worked for many years in the field of engineering, starting out as a structural steel draftsman and eventually achieving the impressive title of design draftsman. He continued to progress in his career to project manager for many different companies and projects around the southeast.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Lula, his sister Jewel Moatts, his brother Billy Miller and his niece Teresa Mae Moatts.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Patricia Ann Strain Miller; sons Henry Michael “Mike” Miller (Penny), Greg Miller (Cheryl), and Terry Miller; grandchildren Ryan Miller (Lindsay), Whitney Nichols (Taylor), Karly Miller, Madelynne Moulton (Corey) and Jordan Miller (Jesilyn); and great-grandchildren Ansley Miller, Harrison Miller, Molly Nichols, Ellis Moulton, Sam Nichols, Felicity Fuller, Elsie Ann Miller, Jett Miller, and Everett Moulton.
Visitation will be at 1:15 pm on April 1, 2023, at Martin Funeral Home in Clanton, AL. The service will be held at Martin Chapel at 2:00 pm and interment will follow at Collins Chapel in Thorsby.
