James Authur Adams, 71, of Verbena, Alabama passed away November 17, 2021 in Clanton, Alabama. He was born November 23, 1949 in Albany, Georgia, son of the late Jessie Adams and the late Katie Jones. He was a Switchman. Surviving are his Wife, Minnie Ruth Adams; Daughter, Melinda Roper; Son, James Robert Adams; Son, Bruce Shane Adams; Son, David Tyler Singleton; Sister, Emile Mims; 16 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by His Father, Jessie Sanders Adams; Mother, Katie Bell Jones; Brothers, Gene and Johnny Adams; Sister, Edna Graves; Grandson, Brett Singleton. Friends will be received Friday, November 19, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at New Covenant Baptist Church. Services will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at New Covenant Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
