James Friday, Jr., 88, of Clanton died Thursday, April 5, 2018. He was born on Sunday, March 16, 1930 in Alabama, Son of the late Earl Friday and the late Annie Mae Cleckler Friday. He was a loving caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Surviving are Wife of 40 years, Barbara Friday; Sons, James Friday, Joe (Kristie) Friday, Mike (Debbie) Friday, Tim (Debra) Friday; Stepsons, Garey (Donna) Averette, David (Deborah) Averette; Stepdaughters, Barbara Ethridge, Faye (Donnie) Wilson, Shirley (Howard) Harrison; Sister, Earlene White; 23 Grandchildren, Numerous Great-Grandchildren, Numerous Great-Great Grandchildren, Nieces & Nephews, Aunt Irene. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Earl & Minnie Friday, Brother, Harold Friday, Mother, Annie Mae Friday. Friends will be received from 5-7, Saturday, April 7, 2018 @ Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Sunday, April 8, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. at Billingsley Church of God with Rev. Wendell Kelley and Rev. Billy Boatwright officiating.
