James Herschel Rhodes, 87, of Clanton died Friday, April 8, 2011. He was born on Thursday, July 16, 1923 in Chilton Co., AL, Son of the late Jessie James Rhodes and the late Lula May Payton Rhodes. He was Owner-Operator of Dairy Delite in Montevallo for 20 years. Surviving are his Wife, Bernice Marie Rhodes of Clanton, AL; 2 Sons, Jerry Rhodes of Clanton, AL, Danny Rhodes of Clanton, AL; Daughter, Linda Gail Edwards of Clanton, AL; 2 Brothers, Wilton Rhodes, Sammy Rhodes; 7 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren. Friends will be received from 6-8, Saturday, April 9, 2011 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Sunday, April 10, 2011, at 1:00 P.M.. at Jackson Chapel Church with Rev. Dennis Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Chapel Cemetery, Clanton, AL. Martin Funeral Home directing.
