James Herbert Higgins, 78, of Thorsby, Alabama passed away March 19, 2020 at his residence. He was born November 13, 1941 in Thorsby, Alabama, son of late Odell Higgins and late Velma Liveoak Higgins. He was a Construction Superintendent and Farmer. Surviving are his Wife, Mary Dean Cleckler Higgins, Son, Jeffery Glenn (Lisa Clackley) Higgins, Daughter, Sheila Lynn (Gregory) Robinson, Son, Stanley Mark Higgins, Daughter, Jennifer Ann (Wade) Watley, Grandson, Bryant Justin Robinson, Granddaughter, Alissa Glennielle Rich, Grandson, Austin Bailey Robinson, Grandson, Timothy Cole Watley, Granddaughter, Savannah Hope Smith, Grandson, James Turner Watley, Granddaughter, Courtney Danielle Carter, Grandson, Samuel Carson Watley, Granddaughter, Alexis Maelee Higgins, Grandson, Sidney Riley Higgins, Great-Grandson, Elijah Alexander Rich, Great-Granddaughter, Everleigh Annalise Smith, and Great-Grandson, Bodhi James Robinson. Serving as Pallbearers will be Sidney Riley Higgins, Samuel Carson Watley, James Turner Watley, Timothy Cole Watley, Austin Bailey Robinson, and Bryant Justin Robinson. He was preceded in death by his Father, Odell Woodrow Higgins, Sr., Mother, Velma Liveoak, and Brother, Odell Woodrow Higgins, Jr.. Friends will be received with limited access on Saturday, March 21, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Mt Carmel Baptist Church #1 in Thorsby, Alabama. There will be a Private Funeral Service with Brother Matt Hilyer and Stanley Mark Higgins officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Baptist #1 Cemetery, Thorsby, Alabama.
