James Dorn Howell

James Dorn Howell, 82, of Mobile, Alabama passed away August 24, 2020 at Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, AL . He was born May 25, 1938 in Mobile, Alabama, son of S.T. Howell and Vallye Howell. He attended Murphy High School, the University of Alabama and went on to have a distinguished and rewarding career as a Naval Officer in the U.S. Navy serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Springhill Baptist Church where he was very active in the choir. Surviving him is his Sister, Bernice (Jesse) Carter, Brother, Joseph Jerome Howell, Son, Simuel James (Jennifer) Howell, 2 Granddaughters, Ellie and Gwen Howell, and a host of nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Vallye Stanley Howell, Father, S.T. Howell, Brother, Thomas Larry Howell, Brother, William Lee Howell. Martin Funeral Home directing.
