James "J.C." Carl Jones, Sr., 73, of Verbena died Thursday, October 23, 2008. He was born on July 26, 1935 in Alabama, Son of the late Rainie Jones and Lina Rollan Jones. He was a Retired Lt. with the Department of Corrections. Surviving are his 2 Daughters, Teressa Darlene (Jerry) Poole of Holtville, AL, Margaret (John) Franks of Verbena, AL; Son, James Carl (Gena) Jones, Jr. of Chelsea, AL; 5 Grandsons, 2 Granddaughters, 4 Great-Grandchildren & 4 on the way, A Host of Nieces , Nephews, Cousins & Friends; 3 Brothers, Rufus Jones of Montgomery, AL, Wayne (Linda) Jones of Montgomery, AL, Ollie Clyde (Mavis) Jones of Clanton, AL; Sister, Pauline Kelly of Clanton, AL; Grandson at heart, Tim Mims of Clanton, AL. Friends will be received from 5-8, Friday, October 24, 2008 @ Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, October 25, 2008, at 1:00 PM. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, Clanton, AL. Martin Funeral Home directing.
