James Cagle Knowles, 94, of Clanton died Saturday, July 27, 2019 at his residence. He was born on Sunday, January 18, 1925 in Alabama, Son of the late James Plez Knowles and the late Ruthie Summerlin Knowles. He was a line worker. Surviving are his Wife, Wanda Wyatt-Knowles of Clanton, AL; Daughters, Mary Knowles (Greg) Cleckler of Yorktown, VA, Jane Burlinson of Raleigh, NC, Carole Flournoy of Orange Beach, AL; Son, Jim (Mary) Knowles of Hope Hull, AL; Step-Daughter, Rita (Adam) Plier; 9 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents, James & Ruthie Knowles; Wife, Maxine Knowles. Friends will be received from 10-11, Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Providence Baptist Church #2. Services will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Providence #2 Baptist Church with Rev. David Easterling, Rev. Wayne Cleckler and Rev. Randy St. John officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Baptist #2 Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama. Martin Funeral Home directing.
