James Lewis Emfinger, 98, of Verbena died Monday, March 28, 2016 at his residence. He was born on Monday, August 6, 1917 in Alabama, Son of the late William Emfinger and the late Martha Jane Moore Emfinger. He was a Farmer. Surviving are his Daughter, Florine (Charles) McGalliard of Verbena, AL; Son, James Henry (Betty) Emfinger of Verbena, AL; Sister, Mary Coe of Clanton, AL; Grandchildren, Randall (Frankie) McGalliard, Curtis (Charlotte) McGalliard, Allen McGalliard, Wanda (Greg) Clark, Travis (Christy) Emfinger, Tony (Sally) Emfinger; 14 Great-Grandchildren, 21 Great-Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Will & Janie Emfinger; Wife, Mollie Nelson Emfinger; Son, William Emfinger; Brothers, George, Emmett, Virgil, Oliver, & Clarence; Sisters, Willie Mae & Fannie. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday, March 31, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Indian Grave Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Scarborough and Rev. Mike McLamore officiating. Interment will follow in Indian Grave Cemetery, Billingsley, AL. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Indian Grave Baptist Church Senior Fund.
