James Robert McGowin, 81, of Maplesville, Alabama passed away December 28, 2022, at St. Martin in the Pines in Birmingham, Alabama.
He was born May 8, 1941 in Alabama, son of the late James "Otis" McGowin and the late Kathryn McGowin.
He was Pastor of Christian Life Church in Maplesville, Alabama. He graduated Christian Life School of Theology with a Doctorate of Theology.
Surviving are his Wife of 28 years, Pauline Patricia Barnes McGowin; Son, Jamey (Anita) McGowin; Granddaughter, Lindsey McGowin; Grandson, Mark McGowin; Brothers, Larry McGowin, Lowell McGowin, Eddy McGowin.
He was preceded in death by his Father, James "Otis" McGowin; Mother, Kathryn McGowin; Brother, Danny Wayne McGowin.
Friends will be received Monday, January 2, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Christian Life Church, Maplesville, Alabama.
Services will be held Monday, January 2, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Christian Life Church, Maplesville, Alabama.
