James Monroe Mims, 82, of Alabaster died Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster. He was born on Thursday, July 18, 1929 in Chilton Co., AL, Son of the late Monroe Mims and the late Eula Bell Easterling Mims. He was a Operations Manager. Surviving are his 3 Sons, Jerry (Margie) Mims of Pleasant Grove, AL, Billy (Sheila) Mims of Alabaster, AL, Ricky (Karen) Mims of Alabaster, AL; Sister, Glenda Faye Mims of Birmingham, AL; 6 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Janie Mims and Son, Glenn Allen Mims. Friends will be received from 10:30-12:00, Tuesday, February 28, 2012 @ Refuge Baptist Church. Services will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at 12:00 P.M. at Refuge Baptist Church with Bro. Todd Burr officiating. Interment will follow in Refuge Baptist Cemetery, Clanton, AL .
