James Douglas Norton , Jr.

James Douglas Norton, Jr., 56, of Elmore, Alabama passed away unexpectedly on December 12, 2024, at his residence.

He was born on October 11, 1968, in Birmingham, Alabama, and was the son of Nancy Norton and the late James Norton.

He was a lover of all things outdoors. He had a huge heart and would help anyone who needed help. He was lovingly known as "PawPaw" and loved his grandkids with all he had.

Surviving are his Wife, Tonya Norton; Son, Jesse Norton; Daughter, Emily (Seth) Norton; Son, Kyle (Alishia) Landers; Daughter, Kayla (Micah) McCann; 2 Grandsons; 2 Granddaughters; Mother, Nancy Norton; Sisters, Renee (Marty) Martin, Jenny (Dan) Alred; Best Friends, Jeff (Gwen) Knee, Yarnell (Lanloni) Smith and his special dog Lacie.

He was preceded in death by his Father, James Douglas Norton, Sr, and Brother, Edward Dale Norton.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in the Chapel.

A memorial service will be held on, December 17, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in the Chapel with Pastor Bob Haggard officiating.
