James "Pop" D. Rudd, Sr., 87, of Sylacauga, Alabama passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at his residence in Sylacauga, Alabama. He was born June 20, 1933 in Alabama, son of the late John C. Rudd, Sr. and the late Rosa Ophelia Jones Rudd. He was the Owner of Rudd's Carwash in Sylacauga. Surviving are his Son, Jamie (Janet) Rudd; Daughter, Amanda (Mel) Martin; Granddaughter, Bevin Hawkins; Grandsons, Daniel (Meredith) Rudd, Max Martin, Avery Lowery and Bryan McGinnis; Great-Grandson, Kye Rudd; Great-Granddaughter, Amelia Rudd. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Mary Traylor Rudd; Daughter, Marsha Lynn Rudd; Son, John Barlow Rudd; Father, John C. Rudd, Sr.; Mother, Rosa Ophelia Jones Rudd. Friends will be received Friday, March 19, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, Sylacauga, Alabama. Graveside Services will be held , March 19, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Jack Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Sylacauga, Alabama.
