James Oscar Porter, 88, of Jemison, Alabama passed away September 14, 2023, at his residence

He was born December 8, 1934, in Alabama, son of the late Scott Porter and the late Gracie Porter.

He was a Business Owner/ Mechanic at Porter Tire and Parts. He was a member of Oak Grove Church.

Surviving are his Wife, Ann Porter, Son, Roger (Phyllis) Porter, Daughter, Janice Martin, Granddaughter, Regan (Ryan) Taylor, Granddaughter, Stefani Porter, Granddaughter, Bethany Porter, Grandson, Caden Crowe, Sister, Delene Littleton, Sister, Doris (George) Brasher, Sister-in-law, Penny Atkinson, Brother-in-law, Horace Frank Atkinson, A host of nieces and nephews, and Special thanks to a special niece Teresa Brasher.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Scott Porter, Mother, Gracie Porter, Wife, June Porter, Brother, C. I. Porter, Brother, J. P. Porter, Brother, Arnold Porter, Brother, Jerry Porter, Son-in-Law, Michael E. Martin, Granddaughter, Kelly Washington.

Graveside Services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 11:00 am. at Midway Memorial Gardens with Rev. David Hand officiating.

Interment will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens, Jemison, Alabama.
