James Jerry Ray

James Jerry Ray, 75, of Jemison, Alabama passed away November 3, 2022 at his residence.

He was born June 7, 1947 in Jefferson County, Alabama, son of the late Silas Ray and the late Dorthy Ray.

He was a Carpenter.

Surviving are his Son, James "Sam" (Angie Pittman) Ray; Daughter, Deann (Anquin) Brooks; Granddaughters, Jessica (James) Smith, Heather (Alex) Dorminy, Haley Brown and Jena (Danny) Hutto; Great Grandchildren, Joshua, Ashton, Tayleigh, Paisley, Lauren, Anileigh, Raelynn, Kason, Avery and Ava;  Brothers, Carl Easterling and Bo Easterling, Sisters, Nell Adams, Brenda Cleckler and Linda Dennis.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Silas Benjamin Ray; Mother, Dorthy Nell Ray; Brothers, Ben Ray and John Easterling.

Friends will be received Tuesday, November 8, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Burt Tippett officiating.

Interment in Chestnut Creek Baptist Cemetery, Verbena, Alabama.
