James Elzie Sanders, 67, of Verbena died Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster, AL . He was born on Wednesday, November 17, 1948 in Chilton Co., AL, Son of the late John David Sanders, Jr. and the late Mable Durbin Sanders. He was a Welder. Surviving are Wife, Gertie Sanders; Sons, Jamie (Amy) Sanders, Donnie (Sherri) Sanders; Daughters, Missy Sanders, Mesha Sanders (Neal); Sisters, Elaine (Jerome) Boddie, Patricia (Steve) Guy, Melba (Wayne) Headley; Brother, Gary (Teresa) Sanders; 17 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents, John David, Jr. & Mable Sanders. Friends will be received from 5-8, Monday, December 7, 2015 @ Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Services will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Smith officiating.
