Jimmy (James) F. Sauls slipped through the veil on Saturday, May 27, 2023, and entered
into the eternal realm to be with his Lord and Savior, JESUS CHRIST, and to be reunited
with family and friends. Jim was born November 15, 1943, in Brunswick, GA. He graduated
from Walton High School (FL) 1962, and served 5 years in the US Air Force as a musician
in Colorado and Alaska. After his tour of military service, he completed his undergraduate degree
at Brigham Young University at Provo, UT. After graduation he spent seven years on the Utah
Highway Patrol. The remainder of his working career was in Logistics management to include coal
transportation and transloading, with most of the time being in Food Service and Grocery Distribution
as Transportation Manager, Operations Manager or Operations VP.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, the Reverend Claud and Ada Sauls and a sister, Claudia
Lavern Sauls Rushing.
He is survived by his Eternal companion, and the love of his lfie, Delora Mae Stone Sauls, one son,
Adam Todd Sauls, Tucson, AZ, and one daughter, Nicole Soule, Washburn, TN, Children-By-Love,
Eric (Tammy) Bush, Syracuse, UT, Tanya (Tim) Joersz, Lewiston, ID, and Stephen (Celeste) Bush, Gilbert, AZ,
three Sisters, Hazel (Ken) Arner, Valdosta, GA, Patricia (James) Frazier, St. Mary's, GA, and Brenda Granger, Cleveland, TN,
and several nieces and nephews, eleven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and spent much time attending and working in the Temple
with his Sweetheart. He had a passion for Family History and served a one-year Family Search Support Mission, with his wife,
assisting others worldwide to find their roots.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from the Martin Funeral Home chapel with President Jody Elmore
officiating, and President Barry Sadler, Greg Spears speakers.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Martin Funeral Home chapel.
Interment will follow at 1:15 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023 at the Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, Alabama.
