James Edward Shirley

James Edward Shirley, 87, of Clanton, Alabama passed away October 13, 2024, at his residence in Clanton, Alabama.

He was born September 13, 1937, in Alabama, son of the late Ellie Shirley and the late Etta Shirley.

He was a Truck Driver and Peach Farmer.

Surviving are his Wife, Elizabeth Cox Shirley; Daughters, Sonja (Charles) Driver, Belinda Demirjian; Grandsons, Reggie Bearden, Scott (Lauren) Demirjian; Granddaughters, Hollie (Sean) Gasser, Michelle (Brandon Bonacorso) Demirjian; Great-Granddaughters, Adisyn  Bearden, Brooke Montero, Olivia Gasser; Great-Grandsons, Sabastian Demirjian, Aidan Holsten, Cayden Smeltzer, Greyson Demirjian, Jeremiah Demirijian; Great-Granddaughters, Brittany Bonacorso, Emilia Bonacorso; Sister, Virginia Shirley Scott; A host of other family.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Ellie A. Shirley; Mother, Etta Deason Shirley; Brothers, Alvis Shirley, Charles Shirley; Granddaughter, Cynthia Joy Demirjian.

Friends will be received Friday, October 18, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Friday, October 18, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken Chandler officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton, Alabama.
