James Delous "Jd" Short

James Delous "JD" Short, 81, of Maplesville, Alabama passed away July 15, 2024, at Cedar Ridge in Clanton, Alabama.

He was born February 20, 1943, in Alabama, son of the late Elbert Short and the late Willie Margaret Roper Short.

He was a school bus driver who also loved trucks. He was a resident of Cedar Ridge Veteran's Home for several years where they cared for and loved him like family.

Surviving are his Brother, William Earl (Cindy) Short; Sisters, Willie Burton, Debbie (Keith) Sikes, Janet (Tommy) Seales; A host of other Family.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Elbert J. Short; Mother, Willie M. Short; Brother, Bobby Wayne Short.

Friends will be received Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Friday, July 26, 2024, at 11:45 a.m. at the Alabama National Cemetery with Billy Wyatt officiating.

Interment will follow in Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, Alabama.
