James "Jimmy" Lester Spearman, 68, of Thorsby, Alabama passed away peacefully Tuesday April 14, 2026, in his home surrounded by his loved ones. 

He was born April 6, 1958, in Jefferson Co., Alabama, son of the late James Spearman and the late Nelda Spearman.

He was proud of his long career with the State Highway Department, serving from May 24, 1976, until his retirement on July 1, 2002. He dearly loved and cherished his two daughters and precious grandchildren . As a passionate Alabama football fan, he embraced life with joy, always enjoying a good time and living life to the fullest.

Surviving are his Daughters, Caroline (Timmy) King and Maria Spearman Mantooth ; Grandson, Brayden King; Granddaughter, Alison Mantooth; Sisters;  Sue Abernathy ( Richard) , Dianne Wright ( Late Alton Wright) , Vickie Bennett ,  Brothers; Kenneth Spearman (Freda) , Gary Spearman ( Alice )  And numerous amazing nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, James Ray & Nelda Eulene Spearman.

Friends will be received Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 11:00 am. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow in Thorsby Memorial Cemetery, Thorsby, Alabama.
