James Dennis Thomas, 76, of Billingsley, Alabama passed away May 3, 2020 at his Residence in Billingsley, Alabama. He was born September 1, 1943 in Lakeland, Florida, and is the son of the late James D. Thomas and the late Nora Smith Thomas. He was a Pastor and Principal at Liberty Christian School in Sanford, Florida and loved serving his people. He was a native Floridian. Surviving are his Wife, Dreama K. Thomas; Son, Justin D. (Renie) Thomas; Daughters, Denise K. (Buddy) Knudsen and Dreama Carol (Bill) McMurrer; Granddaughters, Dreama Nicole Knudsen-Greenleaf, Brooke McMurrer Chatfield, Jamie Dale Knudsen, Hannah Weaver and Rachel Weaver; Grandsons, Shane D. Knudsen, Jordan D. Thomas, Jayden D. Thomas, Joshua D. Thomas, John D. McMurrer, Brian M. McMurrer and Benjamin Weaver; Great-Granddaughters, Oliva Joi Fleming and Ida-Charles Caroline Meyers; Great-Grandson, David Greenleaf. He was preceded in death by his Father, James David Thomas; Mother, Nora Elizabeth Smith. A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 7, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Bethsalem Baptist Cemetery with Rev.
