James Alton Wright

James Alton Wright, 87, of Clanton, Alabama passed away December 24, 2021 at his residence in Clanton.

He was born July 12, 1934, son of the late Martin Wright and the late Clarice Wright.

He was a paint contractor and home builder.

Surviving are his Wife, Dianne Wright; Sons, Allen (Stephanie) Wright, Josh (Ashley) Wright; Daughter, Darlene (Mike) Clark; Stepson, Christopher Beaty; Sisters, Dorothy Bell, Ruth Williams; 6  Grandchildren; 8  Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Martin V. Wright; Mother, Clarice Wright; Brothers, Amzie Wright, Aubrey Wright, Austin Wright, Jimmy Wright; Sisters, Lera Price, Loraine Yeargan, Delene Coleman, Mildred Coker, Eunice Lewis.

Friends will be received Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Harden officiating.

Interment will follow in Thorsby Memorial Cemetery, Thorsby, Alabama.
