Jay Calvin Stewart, 58, of Verbena, Alabama passed away May 16, 2022 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, Alabama.

He was born January 3, 1964 in Alabama, son of the late Clyde O'Neal Stewart and the late Carolyn Beck Stewart.

He was a painter.

Surviving are his Sister, Deleah Stewart (Mike) Holcombe; Host of nieces and nephews; Special Friend, Ronnie Kizziah.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Clyde O'Neal Stewart; Mother, Carolyn Beck Stewart; Sisters, Deanna Stewart Toumilt, Debbie Stewart Gentry, Dannell Stewart Mallory.

Friends will be received Thursday, May 19, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be held Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Bethel Missionary Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Tim Scott officiating. Interment will follow.
