J. B. Williams, 88, of Clanton, Alabama passed away October 17, 2026, in Birmingham, AL.

He was born June 22, 1938, in Autauga, Alabama, son of the late John Williams and the late Ruby Williams.

He was a Laborer who loved working at the fruit stand, packing out peaches and tomatoes, and watering flowers.

He loved his church family and had a special gift for helping children. J. B. was loved and cherished by his many friends and neighbors, and

was unofficially "adopted" by Robert and Margaret Cleckler, both of whom fondly considered him family.

Surviving are his Caregiver, Robert Cleckler; 7 Nephews & 9 Nieces.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, John B. & Ruby L. Williams, Sisters, Emma Jean Harrison, Dora Lee McGehee, Frances Annette Rushing, Ruby Dale Castillo, Doris Ellen Williams; Brother, Thomas Marion Williams, David Lewis Williams; and Caregiver, Margaret Cleckler.

Friends will be received Monday, October 26, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Billingsley Church of God.

Services will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 2:00 pm. at Billingsley Church of God with Rev. Jason Kelley & Rev. Wally Helfenstine officiating.

Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Verbena, Alabama.
