J. C. Smith, 78, of Jemison died Wednesday, April 19, 2017. He was born on Wednesday, April 27, 1938 in Bibb Co., AL, Son of the late Morgan Smith and the late Nettie Jones Smith. He was a Shipping Supervisor. Surviving are Wife, Katherine C. Smith; Sons, Steve Smith, Lynn (Tracy) Smith, Brian (Kim) Smith; Daughter, Brenda Smith all from Jemison AL; Grandsons, Jason (Bridgett) Smith, Christopher Wigington, Orry Smith; Granddaughters, Morgan Smith, Jacylin Smith; Great-Granddaughter, Lilly Smith, Claire Smith; Sisters, Earnestine "Teanie" (Allen) Crocker, Betty Tucker, Patricia (Roger) Tingle, Julie (Leonard) Atchinson; Brother, Henry (Retha) Smith. He was preceded in death by his Father, Morgan "Babe" Smith, Mother, Nettie Jones Smith, Brother, Raymond Smith, Brother, Ralph Smith, Sister, Joyce Yeager and Brother, Leonard Smith. Friends will be received from 12-2, Saturday, April 22, 2017 @ Union Springs Baptist Church. Services will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. at Union Springs Baptist with Rev. Evie Megginson and Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Union Springs Bapt. Church Cem., Randolph, Alabama.
