Lon Cofer, born October 25, 1962, passed away in Montgomery, Alabama. He spent most of his life in Eclectic, Alabama, where he built a life rooted in hard work and deep personal passions.
Lon worked in the lab at Neptune Foundry in Tallassee, Alabama; a job that reflected his strength, dedication, and work ethic. Outside of work, he was a man of many interests. In his younger years, he loved hunting and fishing, finding peace and purpose in the outdoors. He also had a deep appreciation for music, photography, and genealogy, always curious about stories—both the ones captured in photos and the ones passed down through generations.
He is survived by his sons, Lee (Kaylee) Cofer and Lyle (Callie) Cofer; his grandson, Leo Cofer; as well as his brother, Tony Cofer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Mary Cofer.
Lon will be remembered for his love of family, his quiet passions, and the deep bond he shared with those closest to him. He will be missed more than words can express.
