Jerry Lane Gilliland

Jerry Lane Gilliland, 82, of Clanton, Alabama passed away June 10, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born February 24, 1942, in Chilton County, Alabama, son of the late Stell Gilliland and the late Arah Maddox Gilliland.

He was Co-Owner of Gore & Easterling Chair Company.

Surviving are his Daughter, Diane Handley; Son, Kent (Tracy) Gilliland; Granddaughters, Jessica (Austin) Bartolic, Laura (Justin) Headley; Grandsons, Ben (Kelly) Handley, Zachery (Faith) Martin; Great-Grandsons, Emmett Lane Headley, Cooper Handley, Sawyer Bartolic, Grady Bartolic, Walker Bartolic; Great-Granddaughters, Ava Headley, Stella Lane Handley, Madison Headley;  Brother, Don Gilliland; Sisters, Carolyn Popwell, Virginia Littlefield, Ann Sharpless.

He was preceded in death by his Wife, Mary Joyce Gore Gilliland; Father, Stell Gilliland; Mother, Arah Gilliland; Brother, Barnie "Gene" Gilliland; Sisters, Marilyn G. Popwell, Pam G. Bush; and Son-in-Law, Larry Handley.

Friends will be received Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Walnut Creek Church.

Services will be held Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Walnut Creek Church with Rev. Tony Hughes and Kent Gilliland officiating.

Interment will follow in Walnut Creek Methodist Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Green, Ray Green, Griffin Green, Bryson Green, Forrest Knight, and Kevin Calfee. Honorary Pallbearers will be Danny Popwell and Timmy Popwell.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Walnut Creek Cemetery Fund.

Family would like to thank Jerry's Special Caregivers, Patricia Talley & Krystal Parker. He loved spending time with "His Girls". Also, Affinity Hospice for their love and care.
