Jerry Dean Hess

Jerry Dean Hess, 82, of Clanton, Alabama passed away April 28, 2020 at his residence. He was born August 12, 1937 in Harrisonville, Missouri, son of Joseph Hess and Dorothy George Hess. He retired from the United States Army after 23 years as a Master Sergeant. Surviving are his Wife, Betty R. Hess, Brothers, Joe (Jeanette) Hess, Garvey (Janice Kay) Hess, Glenn (Claudine) Hess; Sister, Janice Strawbridge, Sister-in-Law, Patsy Cleckler. He was preceded in death by his Father, Joseph Hess, Mother, Dorothy George Hess, Twin Brother, Larry Hess, Sister, Barbara Heid. Friends will be received Sunday, May 3, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home. A Private Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 3, 2020, at Martin Funeral Home. Interment will follow in The Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, Alabama. Family requests no flowers.
