Jesse B. Smith, 89, of Clanton died Saturday, May 3, 2014. He was born on Wednesday, March 18, 1925 in Perry Co., AL, Son of the late Julius E. Smith and the late Mary Melinda Terry Smith. He was a Operator/Foreman for L & N Railroad. Surviving are Sons, Randy (Jan) Smith of Clanton, AL, Ray (Robin) Smith of Naples, FL; Daughters, Joan (Troy) Patterson of Clanton, AL, Wanda (Frank) Brand of Marbury, AL; 13 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Melba Smith, 2 Brothers and 2 Sisters. Friends will be received from 6-8, Monday, May 5, 2014 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. at Providence Baptist Church , Coosa Co., AL with Rev. Paul Shaw officiating.
